AppAppeal is a website where you can discover web applications by directory, compare them and read reviews. In other words a nice source of inspiration for defining your portfolio of Notes applications.
It makes you also wonder how up to date the categories for projects on OpenNTF are? I have no idea if their are any plans defined to uplift this project space so it gets a bit of mojo?

IBM has posted a nice article how software development teams can adopt informal collaboration tools to overcome communication and cultural barriers. You can read it here.’
Comparing the available collaboration tools with the portfolio of template applications that come standard with Lotus Notes Domino I think IBM shoots itself in the leg. I do not think the standard applications score so well on:
- Social bookmarking
- Threaded discussions
- Search engines
- User profiles
- Web analytics
But I assume that is something you can buy nowadays.
At least, for service managers maintaining a portfolio of Lotus Notes application you know where to aim at. So the question remains:
- What LN applications do you offer that deliver such functionality?
