Looking for: human friendly date format @formula

In stead of showing a date in a yyyy:mm:dd format I would like to show the date in a more human friendly way like for example:

8 years, 2 months and 1 day ago

Google and the Domino forums did not bring any possitive result, perhaps you have a nifty @formula for such a formatting?

lol – you’ve been a Lotus Notes consultant/developer since 1997 but you don’t know how to do this!

Have you really tried notes.net, other notes blogs, designer help?

No apologies for being critical, this a slightly lazy way to get someone else to do your work.

Ed is right a quick search of notes.net should have done the trick. You want to subtract one date from another like @today – @created. Once you have the difference (number of days) then you can break it up into days, weeks, months, and years for display purposes. The @function your are looking for to do this is @Modulo.

hej John, thanks for the link.

Yes, I was a bit lazy, who isn’t.

I guess one of the key elements of groupware is sharing. And asking people to share.

      Don’t blame me for asking.
