Hi Patrick,

I’m a developer at SOBIS Software and I’m interested to use your amazing Card Scan Script Library in one of our notes database.

Is it possible that we can use it? In the about document in your demo db there is a notice: “The code within this application may NOT be freely distributed among other Notes applications without permission.”. So I thought better to ask for permission from you.

This looks absolutely perfect! I haven’t success with making dijit tree functional on XPage :-/ I wanted to download your example database, but with no success. Could you be so kind and send me this example database to my mail or upload it somewhere else than on easy-share?

The expand all and collapse all are working now in 8.5.1 on an embedded view.

Patrick, I’ve created a partial event that’s attached to a button, hidden the button with CSS and called the button’s onclick event in client side JS. Kudos to Paul Withers (@PaulSWithers) for the tip.

I have removed the encryption settings, sorry for the inconvienence …

There are ofcourse considerations with the app, especially if encryption is default on your Notes network.

I decided to use thumbnail, midsize and original size images for each upload to reduce traffic.

In case you place a lot of images on the slider gallery all the midsize images will beloaded, so taht is also a consideration worth.

I have not tested the app with a large amount of users, neither on a public site. So yes, test it before you place it in production.

Hi,
I downloaded the 12 MB file and when tried to open it gave local encryption error. Please remove the local encryption and preferably give default as manager access.

About the project, it looks nice at first sight however I am more concern about the how slim and efficient it will become at the end.I really want put my hand on it and to make it more functional.

Hope to get ur new uploded DB. Nice work work anyway and Keep it UP !!!

I’m in the same boat as you – trying to learn this XPages stuff.

1. Formatting the source. I place my cursor in the source, hit Ctrl-A to highlight it all and then Ctrl-Shft-F to format it. Does a ‘fair’ job. You still need to break out tags to get it right, but it’s not TOO bad.

2. oneUI classes. I finally opened up \domino\java\xsp\theme\oneui and started going through the commented.css files. Now I’m starting to see what each does and deducing where each should go, but still . . . a little help from IBM would be nice. I’d like to see at least a heirarchy of classes (lotusFrame for outside, lotusMain/lotusContent/lotus??? comes next?)

3. the XPages wiki is a good place to hit up for advice from the experts

4. IQJam is a great place to ask questions

Hey there,
Thanks for the excellent example.. This worked evry well for me. I chanegd it so that under each date it will populate the events schedueld. However I have one query. This worked very well for me on one server. But when I ported the same application on a different server on the same domain it doesnt run past this line in whichMonth:

monthNumber = Month(curDate.DateOnly)

When I replace curDate.DateOnly with Now() it works.. What could be the problem?
